Nature: Type of creature
Subtypes: ●Karrnathi, ●Nightshade
"Undead" are previously living creatures who have been re-animated by spiritual or supernatural forces, whose life-force has been replaced by the energy of pure death instead (so-called "Negative Energy").
Since most of them are effectively "made from" other creatures (or at least the remains thereof), quite a lot of undead creatures are technically "templates", a set of stat-modifications applied to other creatures to turn them into an undead version (f.ex. the zombie template can be applied to not just humanoids, but you could also have a zombie sphinx or zombie hydra, etc).
