Eberron is a world where the actions of the players help dictate the shape of the future, but where today's problems and challenges are usually the result of a long and tangled past. As such, it can be wise for even action-oriented adventurers and pulp heroes to know a little of what has happened before throughout the history of the world.

Below is a very abbreviated list of some of the more notable events.

The common era is reckoned from the birth of the Kingdom of Galifar, as "the Year since the founding of the Kingdom", or "Year of the Kingdom", usually shortened to "YK".

Events from the more distant past are shown as a number of years before the current day. F.ex: –10'000'000 BN (Before Now).

Age of Dragons

–??? BN: The Mythic Past
●The world was one, and the Progenitor Wyrms, the first and greatest of dragonkind, ruled all.
●The three most powerful were Siberys, Eberron, and Khyber.
●Together they created the thirteen outer dimensions, with varying levels of cooperation from world to world, before they set themselves the task of crafting the central masterpiece of the cosmos: the mortal world, the core dimension of material existence.
●A world-shattering struggle followed, splitting the world into three parts, as Khyber attacked and killed its sibling Siberys, whereupon Eberron sacrificed her freedom in order to imprison her beloved sibling Khyber forever within her embrace.
●In the end, the remains of slain Siberys became the glowing ring that surrounds the world, Khyber was bound in the darkest depths as The Dragon Below, and Eberron healed the world between by becoming one with it, turning into the planet we live on.
●The spilled blood and lifeforce of Siberys saturated the world with arcane magic and called forth the next generation of dragons; Eberron created all the living things found in nature (like animals and plants, birds and fish, etc); while imprisoned Khyber raged and spat out the fiends, and many of the aberrations.
